Up to 6 BACB® CEUs for Live Attendees
A cohort-based, step-by-step system for BCBAs to guide families from low engagement to consistent, values‑aligned practice—without burnout.
By Amelia Dalphonse, MA, BCBA
Tired of nudging parents without real follow‑through?
✔ Low‑engagement families stall your plans—and you end up scrambling every week.
✔ You invest hours prepping, but home routines still don’t stick.
✔ You need a repeatable way to build buy‑in that doesn’t turn you into a full‑time coach.
The Engagement Engine isn’t another tip list—it’s a replicable process.
Identify values and barriers fast so parents buy in earlier.
✔ Link micro‑commitments to what matters most to the family.
✔ Use simple baseline → rescore visuals to show progress quickly.
✔ Layer skills, generalize to real life, and keep stress down.
✔ Lead a values‑driven buy‑in process you can repeat across cases.
Why I created this training
After years of watching solid behavior plans fizzle at home, I noticed a pattern: parents weren’t unwilling—they were overwhelmed. When we anchored practice to their values and made the first step tiny and visual, everything changed. Follow‑through improved, stress dropped, and skills generalized.
This cohort distills that approach into a weekly rhythm you can lead with confidence. You’ll stop firefighting and start guiding a calm, consistent process families can sustain.
Use the ACT Matrix to surface values and likely objections so buy‑in happens earlier.
Tie small, specific actions to daily routines to create early, repeatable wins.
Use simple baseline → rescore visuals to motivate consistent practice without heavy data collection.
Add skills across contexts and link to reinforcement so habits stick beyond sessions.

This course was educational, enlightening, relatable, and, most importantly, functional in that it gave practical ways to remain ethical in difficult situations. I highly recommend this course.
Breanna
(The Moral Tightrope)
This was one of the best CEU courses I've taken as a BCBA in 10+ years. I've already started implementing the activities and have had great success!
Maya
(Think, Plan, Do)
his is an exceptionally helpful course laid out in clear instructions with real world examples. Highly recommend!

What time are the live sessions?
The live sessions will be offered twice on Mondays: 10 am and 4 pm Eastern.
Do I need to attend live to earn CEUs?
Live attendance is required for CEU verification. Recordings are posted after each session for review and catch‑up, but CEUs are tied to live participation. You can still benefit from the training if you're not able to attend live, but live attendance is strongly encouraged.
What if I miss a Monday session?
You’ll have the recording, tools, and the community thread. You can implement that week’s micro‑commitment and rejoin live the following week.
Do I need ACHIEVE to benefit?
No. You’ll get the full Engagement Engine process and templates. The ACHIEVE free trial simply accelerates plan setup; one semi‑custom parent plan is included for each BCBA during the cohort.
Will this work with very low‑engagement families?
That’s the design. You’ll learn to start smaller than feels necessary, link to values, and use quick rescoring to show progress—even when time and bandwidth are limited.
Who is this for?
✔ School‑ or clinic‑based BCBAs®/BCaBAs® who support families with low follow‑through.
✔ Supervisors who want a repeatable buy‑in process their teams can implement.
✔ Providers who need lightweight data visuals to motivate practice between sessions.
✔ Anyone ready to trade firefighting for a calm, values‑driven system that scales.
